The lights were flashing. The crowd was ecstatic and the energy unmatched. It was a beautiful scene as people who have never met before sang these EDM songs together in harmony. The unconditional love and unity for complete strangers roots from these concert goers love of music. But it’s not even about the music. It’s not about the fashion, those 'experience enhancers' that people like to take or even the money that the event planners make. It’s about everyone coming together for a common cause and not being judged for it. It’s about not letting anything hold you back from achieving your goals. It’s about living through some of the most fulfilling experiences this world has to offer, regardless of any physical or mental roadblocks that may come in the way. That's what this picture means to me. This guy’s love for music and persistence brought him to South Padre Island to see his favorite EDM artists. But the positive energy and love that these strangers had towards each other was got him in the air that day. Everyone surrounding this determined individual picked him up from the back of the 50,000+ people that were there, and passed him to the front. He got to experience crowd surfing... in a wheelchair! I can only imagine what he was feeling. No worries, no stress. So alive and free. Just watching him and capturing this beautiful moment gave me chills. This is what I call freedom at its finest! There' simply no other words sufficient enough to describe this feeling.
