Lift
The thing I love most about music festivals is how they bring us out of our little worlds and connect us through our shared love of music. You have professors, veterans, retirees, parents, teenagers, people from all walks of life coming together to celebrate good vibrations and a much needed break from the real world. But the best part, I think, is that when we leave this magical place, we can't help but take some of the magic back with us to the real world. Festivals rejuvenate me, they give me joy, I leave with new friends and new memories. Experiences at festivals are the moments when I feel the most connected to other people, and I barely know them. The only thing I need to know in that moment is that everyone around me is as awesomely human as I am, and that's enough to lift us all up.
