Rain, rain, go away!

Rain, rain, go away!
this is here

I had the privilege to attend Lollapalooza in 2011 and see my favorite band, Foo Fighters. My friends and I got to Lollapalooza at gates and were the first ones in Grant Park. It didn't take long for us to make the decision to sprint to the south main stage. We were there in no time. This is where we set up camp, as we had an 8 hour wait ahead of us. Being the third and final day of the festival, we were already exhausted. We battled mentally and physically to make it through the wait. We knew it would be worth it. Playing games, making small talk with the people around us, we did everything and anything to make the time go by. Around 5:30pm we got a rude awakening from mother nature. Rain. It poured on everyone for 30 minutes. You could hear the disappointment in the crowd. Due to the rain the Arctic Monkeys were 15 minutes late to the stage. They played their hearts out for 45 minutes, pounding out as much of their set as they could. After the Monkeys were done it was 7pm. Only an hour left before Foo Fighters. 8pm came and the Foo's came out to a mighty roar of the crowd and got everyone pumped. 3 songs into the set and the rain had returned, but that didn't matter. Dave Grohl, Foo Fighters front man, embraced the rain. They played through every drop. It was one of the most amazing moments of my life! Being able to witness my heroes giving it their all, made all 8 hours completely worth while! I don't think any concert could ever beat being front row for Foo Fighters.
