Sand Surf'n
What is better than a concert on the beach? A free concert on the beach. After the U.S Open of Surfing finales in Huntington Beach California everyone rushes to surround the stage on the beach. As soon as I hear the chorus to my favorite summer jam Tongue Tied by Grouplove, I grow a few feet taller. Crowd surfing on a boogie board feeling as happy as I can ever remember, throwing one hand in the air(nothing more than a shaka felt right) and moments later coming to an ungraceful face plant into the sand. Hand's reaching for me as I scurry to brush the sand off my face and in my mouth, what do you know, coincidentally the hands offering me aid happened to be friends I had not seen in years. After a very short pause from the concert and everything around us, we scream while grasping each others hands in-sync with one another bouncing back to the music almost immediately and singing our tiny hearts out as we jump up and down. One of the many experiences I have had with music that paints a vivid picture in my memory.
