Get me to the front:)
I'm a safety first kind of girl...but my need to have Tom Petty sing me American Girl clouded any preconceived notions I had about crowd surfing. Being a food vendor at Firefly with limited breaks, my only wish was to get to the front of the crowd. Apparently 40,000 other people wanted the same thing... I tried stage right, stage left, I tried dancing my way to the front, 2 other girls joined in on my excursion but when people were locked shoulder to shoulder they gave up:( Then I saw my window of opportunity the person that went up and over! I walked over to the group of guys and asked if they could do that for me. Their response was you know they could drop you, I hadn't even thought of that. But this was my chance, my golden ticket, fear don't hold me back now! I handed my drink and glow stick to a friend and apologized for what was about to happen. And up I went soaring over heads screaming keep me up, get me to the front! Half way through I landed in the arms of customers I had served "OMG Kimmie, get her to the front!" And they threw me back up. What felt like a lifetime was really just mere seconds as I landed right before the security guards grip, on a poor guys head. Sorry, so sorry and I moved a little turned around and to my surprise there I was one person standing in between me and the gates!! It was exhilarating, it was magical, and it reminded me wishes do come true! I txt my friend I made it! And with the biggest smile I danced to American Girl :) #IWantFestTix
