I was on spring break traveling up the coast of California with two of my friends when I found out Prince was playing in LA and Oakland, but it wasn't until I was driving down Yosemite tha he announced he was playing a private show in San Francisco in less than 24 hours. I hopped in the car and drove to the Fillmore. This was my second Prince show and I was determined to get up front. I’ve lived in New York my entire life, so this was purely by luck. I went to the concert alone, met the most amazing women and quickly made a pact to get to the front of the stage. After waiting almost four hours, we went inside and ended up center stage only a few feet from Prince! It was absolute magic! This picture is almost as electric as the night was, both my hands with Prince in between. Since then, I've ben saving up my money to go back to California and experience it all over again. Although I've lived in New York my entire life, the week I spent in California, San Fran especially, felt like I had finally come home.
