The Beginning
The first festival I ever attended was Coachella. I was all for live music and had been to plenty of concerts, but nothing could have prepared me for the ambiance and energy encompassed only by a music festival. The surge of excitement beaming across the grounds, the understanding and acceptance adopted by the unique community that solely exists for that weekend. The music, the crowds, the inexplicable high. I became addicted. Since that first festival, I have attended a handful of other festivals, and every time no matter where in the country, what the weather, what time of year, I am met with the same exhilaration and sense of belonging. There is nothing like it. This is the photo that started it all. Day 1, rushing as close as possible to the stage, soaking in every beat, every moment, and living in a euphoric sanctuary for the weekend.
