The Edge of Exhaustion
This past summer at Bonnaroo (2013), I captured this moment during the Pretty Lights set. I focused on the flag to emphasize the unity this festival brings. Despite the vast size of attendees, and necessity of groups to carry "flags" in order to sick together, the photo can stand to represent the experience through this narrow window. This photo captures the warm glow of not only the stage and performance, but the overall happy and bright environment of the festival. A big party in itself, this year brought unexpected appearances, interesting faces and a helluva good time for everyone. This snapshot seizes all of it. From the balloon and LED glove lights to the rustled hair and water bottles. The exhaustion comes into play when you think about how late in they day the performance was, and if you had seen the people lying on the ground.
