Fun Reflections
Last year myself and 5 of my closest friends set off on an epic journey from Calgary, AB to San Francisco, CA for our first Outside Lands Music Festival. Some of us traveled by plane, some by car and some by rad 1960s VW van (who only required one pit stop for maintenance). Among the attractions were the likes of Willie Nelson, Band of Horses, Vampire Weekend, Yeah Yeah Yeahs and the one and only Sir Paul McCartney. The 6 of us had a blast. The weekend was jam packed with amazing music, great food, amazing local beers and the best of friends. Rain or shine we were stoked! This pic shows 3 of us reflecting on these great times in one of the numerous pieces of artwork places throughout the fest. I love music festivals - they bring the out the best in absolutely everyone. Look around you the next time you're at a fest and see if you can find anyone who ISN'T smiling. If they aren't it's likely only because they are either waiting in line for a port-a-potty or have just exited one. I have made an effort to travel to a music festival every summer. So far I've done Coachella, Newport Folk Festival, Outside Lands and Bonnarooo. Outside Lands has by far been my favourite thus far. Please send me once again, Ticketmaster, I will love you forever.
