// shoulder to shoulder
at once, all together, as a group, in unison, SIMULTANEOUSLY, in concert. you’ve drunk too much, you’re too sweaty, and you more than likely pissed someone off. right now though? doesn’t matter, ‘cause you’re side by side, shoulder to shoulder with strangers, but they feel like friends. doesn’t matter what song is playing if it’s your favorite one or the one you hardly know - it’s about being there. life is about being present, and concerts are a gift. i like the moments in life when you are too involved, too wrapped in having a good time to capture it on film or snap a pic - i like those because then, all you have is the story. the story behind this is more than what i can fit in 1500 words and worth way more to me than whatever the ticket cost me that day. whenever i think about it i laugh, and can almost smell all the liquor i consumed, and i feel the pain in my legs of how i danced so much i had to limp home. then, i’m perplexed on how we actually got home, and was the bartenders name ricky or was that the guys’ name whose birthday it was in row e just in front of us? see, now, if that isn’t epic? what is? all concerts, all these shows - they are just this beautiful blur. right? this blend of people, songs and moments. that just slap the goofiest smile on my face. standing shoulder to shoulder with strangers screaming along to songs is something that word epic doesn’t even begin to be able to describe. its something that you'll just have to be there for or hear later.
