The Sassy Clams
This photo was taken on the third day of Sasquatch Music Festival 2013 at the Gorge Amphitheater. We went with the biggest group we had ever managed to gather, swinging by the airport to pick up friends who flew back from NYC in our RV- our group banner proudly marking our caravan. The ride up and camping created lots of laughs, inside jokes and dance parties but by the third day everyone was pretty beat up from the non-stop fun. Don't let the smiles fool you, I had lost my voice, one of us hadn't slept and we had lost our ENTIRE group of boys who stayed back at camp! But in the spirit of many many festival goers before us, there was only one option on day three- pack up some Pendleton blankets, spirithoods, sunglasses and galaxy garb to get our groove on! The four girls in this photo with myself, in purple of course, have all been friends since college but on this particular weekend, we forged a bond that to this day has only grown stronger. We created a few nicknames but the one that stuck and has lead to countless bonding has been, The Clams. We are the Original Clamsters, ladies that I wouldn't ever hesitate to help get a dance party started or liven up a fancy brunch with our clamisms. They are the reason why my life is so amazing and festivals without these beauties is just a crying shame. We'd love to have another adventure, won't you vote for us? Love- The Clams
