Rock On The Range VIP with Soundgarden
I had waited 19 years for this moment; to see Soundgarden perform live was on my bucketlist of things to do before I die, ever since I held Superunknown in my hands at the age of 14. I had invested in the VIP package that weekend. It wasn't just a band on that stage; this was music that helped me through those awkward adolescent years. To say I shed a few tears of joy may possibly be an understatement. As the set ended with Incessant Mace I sat there at the crowd filed out, just soaking it all in with a huge grin on my face. I got the attention of a roadie below my riser as the crew was packing up for the night, to get me a setlist to keep as a memento. He could have snagged one off the sound board, but he went out of his way, all the way to center stage, and carefully pulled up the one and only Chris Cornell's personal setlist and handed it to me. Something I will forever treasure and remember my first time with Soundgarden.
